PRESIDENT’S AWARD
The President’s Award recognizes an individual, business, organization, agency or food provider that has played a pivotal role in helping advance the mission of the Food Bank.

This years’ recipient of the President’s Award is The Charity League Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for charitable projects in the Corpus Christi area. The Food Bank of Corpus Christi Inc. was honored to be the recipient of a $172,000 grant towards the construction of the Nutrition Education and Administrative Building.

Charity League was organized in 1934 by a group of women dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens in this community. Each year, through a detailed selection process, a different charity is chosen, and members spend many months raising funds and awareness for the selected charity. Since 1983 Charity League has raised more than 3 million dollars for organizations in our community.
